Residency
OMTT residency invites international artists whose practice focuses on collage and printed matter. The main objective of the self-organized collage residency is to set up an opportunity for artists visual researchers with interests in collage to explore different collage techniques and conditions that influence the process of collage in the context of a city like Berlin.
The residency will take place at WerkStadt Kulturverein Berlin e.V. which is a non-profit, culture and arts association located in Berlin-Neukölln. Moreover, it is expected for artists-in-residence to create work that reflects their exploration of different aesthetics culture. We are curious to see how observations people people make in different fields and how all this translates into an aesthetic. Together we would be inspired to find new ways of finding new styles and types of aesthetics. Participation at the residency is free, but we charge participants 100 euros which would cover lunch cooked at the studio and material costs.
We are interested in exploring collage as a tool of moodboarding or bringing different elements together in the form of mapping that sets a tone for a certain style to exist out in the wild.
