Collage Working Group (6–11 July 2026)
What does a piece of cheese have to do with Rihanna? And why does it work or not in a collage?
We want to sit together, look at each other’s work, and talk about where images come from, what they carry, what they trigger, and how they connect. We’ll share associations, dig into AestheticsWiki, and explore the meaning behind the things we cut and paste. The goal is to understand our images better, so we can raise our awareness on how to use them in our collages.
We are OMTT, a Berlin-based collage collective. We invite you to our self-organised 6-day collage working group at WerkStadt e.V. this summer, ending with a group exhibition open to the public.
Over five days, we will move between studio sessions, city walks, collecting, printing, experimenting, and collage making. The first days will focus on discussions, process and experimentation, before shifting more fully into collage making later in the week.
The participation fee is on sliding scale between 75 and 125 €. The fee covers rent of the space, materials, tools, and exhibition supplies. The collage working group itself is organised on voluntary basis by our collective without profit.
Please send your application until the 30. June 2026 (all timezones) to hi@omtt.space)
